On the 16th and 17th of October the Natura People partnership met up at the Grevelingen. Twice a year the project partners come together to exchange information and discuss the progress of the project. It was the second time the continental partners visited the Grevelingen. Earlier meetings were held at or near the sites Minsmere, Zwin Nature Park, Marquenterre and Waterdunen. Besides discussing business, the partners were shown the Grevelingen itself and progress on the projects. A guided tour showed the group the natural site ‘Slikken van Flakkee’ , the new watchtower at the Battenoord harbour and a biological plantation in the area. On the 17th of October the partners conducted the Grevelingen Conference at Scharendijke. The conference is one of the projects to inform the local businesses and organisations about the results of the developing programs for the Grevelingen and future ambitions. At the conference Sarah Green spoke as one of many inspiring speakers, about the Natura People program.
The next meeting will be organised in 2014 by the Province of West-Vlaanderen and will take place near the Zwin Nature Park in Belgium.
